What this government and previous governments do not care to take into consideration is the welfare of the residents of Kono District. For the millions of dollars that are generated from the diamond mining fields in Kono district, the district is plagued with serious environmental problems and there are no paved roads, no drinking water, no electricity, no decent schools, and no social services to help the residents of Kono. Yet Mexivada Mining Corp; has invested only $25,000 in return for 60% of the diamond revenues. Why should Koroma allow this to happen?

To start with I think the government needs to revamp the security agencies, especially the Criminal Investigation Department ( CID). By revamping I mean quality not quantity. The government should recruit top university graduates, talk to the British Government to train them for us and start them with a decent salary. Some times building a top security network means starting from scrach. The FBI in the US consists of few highly intelligently-trained men and women. This is just a start.
